Community-Based Services

Provided for individuals with developmental disabilities to facilitation their inclusion as active participants in their home community. Activities are representative of individual interests and may include volunteerism, participation in civic groups, membership at health facilities, and employment. |
Residential services
Individualized, community-based residential services provided to children and adults with disabilities. Provided through a variety of models that meet each person's unique needs, options include a home staffed by Easter Seals employees who provide support/assistance; placement in the home of a family or couple responsible for providing support/assistance; or identification and supervision of a roommate to live with the individual to provide support/assistance. Twenty-four hour in-home support is also available to families who need assistance in order to keep their child at home.
Residential services for children focus on working with the family of origin and providing therapeutic support to child and family. View more information about residential services for children and youth here.
Services for adults focus on the attainment of skills needed to maximize independence and involvement in their community.
Supported employment
Long-term on-the-job support to individuals who require assistance to maintain employment. Services include job placement, on-the-job training and employer consultation.
