Outpatient therapy services at Easter Seals NH provides a unique approach that is family-centered. The understanding is that families know their children best and are better able to facilitate change when therapy is supported in carry-over strategies at home. This philosophy underlies all of our pediatric programs birth to 18 years.

Occupational Therapy
We use functional activities to assist children who have difficulty participating in the normal occupations of childhood. Therapists assess and treat sensory processing skills, self-care, oral motor, feeding, visual perceptual and motor, fine motor, gross motor and play skills.

Physical Therapy
Therapists use purposeful activities to help children develop gross motor skills allowing them to participate in everyday movement activities. Therapists assess and treat strength, range of motion, endurance, coordination, posture, balance and gait.

Speech/Language Therapy
Speech therapists address the individualized needs of children having difficulty with communication. Speech therapists assess and treat receptive and express language delays/disorders, articulation concerns and oral-motor function. Use of communication alternatives, such as sign language, picture exchange and augmentative devices can be utilized during treatment.

Lite Gait
This gait training system is used with a treadmill or over ground and provides varying amounts of support to allow for development of more efficient walking skills.

Camp Connect

Sensory Integrative Clinic
Everyday, children learn through their senses. Sensory Integration therapy assists those who have difficulty tolerating, responding and adapting to sensory information. Occupational therapists help create better body awareness, strengthen posture and coordinate movement.

Torticollis Plagiocephaly Clinic
This clinic offers a comprehensive physical therapy evaluation, including anthropometric measurements, development of individualized home exercise program, feeding consultations, visual motor screening and referrals to community vendors as needed.

Play Therapy
Play therapy is provided by mental health professionals who specialize in working with young children. This treatment offers creative solutions for problems, developing respect for others and self-acceptance, learning to experience and express emotion, cultivating empathy, and developing self-efficacy and better assuredness about abilities.

Group Programs
Group programs offer a social environment for children while targeting feeding, social skills, self-regulation and motor skills. Click here for more infomation on the Munch Bunch Group, Social Skills Group, and the How Does Your Engine Run? Group.

Therapeutic Listening
This program is offered as an adjunct to other therapies that are provided through outpatient services for those struggling with sensory modulation, core strength, praxis, and attention/focus issues.

Autism Family Support
The Autism Family Support program provides family social events, connections to resources and services, individual support for caregivers, support groups, seminars and parent education, and Autism Awareness 911.
