Easter Seals NH Expands Substance Abuse Services with Addition of Webster Place Recovery Center Easter Seals NH is pleased to announce that Webster Place Recovery Center at Daniel Webster Farm in Franklin, NH, has joined the Easter Seals NH family and will play an instrumental role in offering substance abuse recovery services. This partnership combines the expertise of two recognized leaders in health and social services and provides clients with access to a wide spectrum of programs that contributes to the continuum of care necessary for recovery. "There is a critical need for alcohol and substance abuse treatment services that are accessible, inclusive, and sustainable," said Larry Gammon, President and CEO of Easter Seals NH. "We are proud to expand our current services and work in collaboration with Webster Place Recovery Center to be a part of the solution for the residents of our state and beyond." Webster Place Recovery Center, which opened its doors in 2008, is a residential sanctuary for those ready to begin their recovery from drugs and alcohol. Situated on the historic, peaceful acres of the Daniel Webster Farm in Franklin, NH, guests are immersed in a safe, tranquil setting ideally suited to learning, growing, and healing. Alex Ray, a New Hampshire entrepreneur and owner of the Common Man family of restaurants bought the historic property at an auction. During the purchase process he made a commitment to invest in the property so an independent and separate nonprofit board could be formed to provide the hope of reaching people who had a desire to overcome alcohol and drug abuse and in dependence. Since March 2008, more than 500 residents have received help at Webster Place and a vibrant support network has formed with alumni, staff and the surrounding community. Webster Place has also operated under a self-sustaining private pay model of not relying on donations or grants, yet has still provided more than 20% of its services as scholarships. "Our mission is to help restore the lives of men and woman seeking sobriety, reduce their chances for relapse, and ease their transition back into everyday life," said Webster Place Chairman of the Board Charles Clarkson. "We simply help each other grow into recovery, and into a changed way of life, one day at a time in a serene & spiritual setting with support, to allow this transformation to occur." Now as part of Easter Seals NH, Webster Place will fall under the experienced leadership of Vice President of Substance Abuse Services Dr. Cheryl Wilkie, Psy.D., MLADC who also oversees the Farnam Center in Manchester and Concord. The Farnum Center in Manchester is a residential, comprehensive alcohol and substance abuse treatment facility. The Farnum Center in Concord offers an Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse program which includes continuing care and counseling to help participants develop and strengthen relapse prevention skills. "Dr. Wilkie has a long history of helping those in need in the state of New Hampshire. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of Easter Seals NH," said Clarkson. "Easter Seals NH has a strong track record of successful partnerships in New Hampshire and this collaboration is the next step in our evolution of developing to our full potential."
