The Easter Seals Autism Clinic provides high quality multidisciplinary assessments for children who are suspected of having an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The clinic team includes:
- Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
- Psychologist
- Autism Care Coordinator / BCBA
- Speech and Language Pathologist
- Occupational Therapist
- Family Support Specialist
The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and other specialized age-appropriate assessments are used to:
- Clarify diagnosis
- Evaluate developmental status
- Capture and describe each child’s unique strengths and challenges
- Provide individualized and concrete recommendations
Benefits to families include:
- Four hours of individually tailored consultative services for children receiving a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Access to a training series to educate parents and community team members about Autism related topics, treatment interventions, and services
- Facilitation of a seamless transition to local early intervention services by a trained team member
